HX Design Essentials: The Human Experience

Welcome to the world of HX, a world inhabited by human beings, making things possible

We can build the product, but we cannot build the person using the product

Our focus as researchers and designers has to be the understanding of how a human uses and interacts with our designs and content. Rather than conducting conceptual research on how a device, design, or service, functions, we must ask about the person first.

Who is she?

Who is he?

How does s/he relate to the product?

How does s/he use the product?

For example, let’s look at this sound engineer’s work environment

This engineer is using his devices in very unexpected ways.
