White Coat syndrome happens to me all the time. Only recently, when I went to an Ob/Gyn clinic, where the nurse was wearing a colorful outfit and was chatting with me while taking my blood pressure, did my BP come in as normal.

It took me decades to master my visits to my doctor. so that I would not be anxiety-ridden for days before my visit. What really helps me is the check-in with the nurse who can help me as a person, rather than as a patient who's clinically producing out-of-range BP numbers.
