That's exactly right. What was also interesting to me in this comparison test was how I was actually very satisfied by my iPhone images to start with. As the AI images started rolling in I realized that they are all rendered on a much grander scale than what I actually saw with my human eyes and brain.
When we look at an object/person and it interests us, then we sort of only see that object/person. And that's enough. AI seems to pack in a lot of extra visual information, kind of overload of visuality.
