How drawing boosts my mood in a big way

I am always smitten by the emotional effect a drawing has, whether looking at a drawing by a world-famous artist or creating my own.
An impactful, idea-generating technique
Drawing is a strange activity. With the onset of late of AI and generative image creation, we don’t quickly think of drawing as a way to make a statement. Yet, it is a time-proven method that gives us creative and lasting results within a short time.
We take a blank paper, put the pencil to paper, apply pressure, draw a line, shade an area, do crosshatching, some doodles. We write-draw abstractly, oftentimes distractedly. Drawing is achieved with a few tools, charcoal, pencil, a wooden stick, eraser, ink perhaps, a piece of paper, napkin or slab of wood.
Before long, we have something to look at. We have shapes, a theme, a composition, recurring motifs.
As I draw, it’s no longer only me and a blank paper, there’s also a story, there are characters, there is an environment, a space.
