Hello, pleased to me you
About me, Eva
Art, design, and UX have shaped my journey
My two home towns
I’ve been living in the bustling borough of Brooklyn NY for some time now. I’ve done my most living, learning, and loving in this borough, my home.
My home home is in Europe. I was born in Switzerland, in the baroque abbey town of St. Gallen, a city founded by Irish monks over a thousand years ago, an unknown place to almost everyone in the world. There, you can swim in tiny ponds and ride your bicycle across town on cobbled streets.
My NY landing
My entry into New York as a young adult was a kind of crash landing, and I’m glad it was. Once arrived, I never really looked back. NYC is good to creative people. There is always action. There are always money gigs. The colossal thing New Yorkers are always up against is how to find time to do one’s own thing. There’s never any time here. Never.
I’ve learned how to be a chameleon. In NYC, one adapts, or not. You blend in, or not. Join the crowd, or not. Go places, or not. You are you, but you are also only one person in about nine million. It’s a city of great polarity.
